He is an experienced bow hunter and a member of the Pope & Young Club having taken P & Y class Black Bear, Whitetail Deer, Antelope and Mule Deer. Eric's guided hunts are not only enjoyable but a personal learning experience. His hunters are very successful and always satisfied.

HUNT GUARANTEE

We are so confident in our hunting area and our guides that we are offering a performance guarantee. Any hunter paying full price and hunts the recommended 12 day hunt one on one hunt, who doesn't get a shooting opportunity can come the following year and repeat the same hunt for half price.

ACCOMMODATIONS

Hunters are accommodated at either one of the main tent camps or remote spike camps, this depends on which hunt the hunter chooses. Tent camps consist of large wall tents with wood stoves and comfortable cots. The main camp has shower facilities nearby at the remote camps we must travel a bit for them.

MEALS

All on site-meals are prepared in our main camps by our full-time chef's. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance so that we can ensure these items are available.

TRANSPORTATION

Your hunt includes all on-site transportation. You will be picked up at the airport in High Level upon arrival, transported as required to hunt and returned to High Level for your trip home.

WHAT TO BRING

Hunters are responsible for their own personal equipment. A complete and detailed list is sent several weeks prior to your arrival. It will include such items as: a camera with lots of film, warm quiet clothing, rain gear, rubber boots, sleeping bag, personal effects and fishing gear. For entry into Canada you need proof of citizenship.

GUIDES

Our policy is to provide the best in personal attention and safety. We allow only two hunters per guide and even offer one-on-one hunts for the hunter who is intensely after a color phased bear or exceptionally large trophy. All our guides are experienced bear hunters and are extremely motivated. They're there because they want to make your hunt a success.
I would like to thank the dedicated, hard working guides and cooks that we have on staff. They bend over backwards to make your hunt happen. Thank you to: Sheldon Fiske, Gary Patterson, Jeff Knowlton, Elly Letcher, Ryan Gilpin, Pat McLean, Bruce Patterson, Tapio Kangas and Gary Gilpin, Del Nielson, Wendy Hallam and finally Connie Martinella who mans the phone while I'm gone.

EQUIPMENT

Silver Fox Outfitters maintains a complete fleet of ATV's and a jet boat to get you in to the baits. For our bow hunters we have a tree stand with a 3-D bear target as well as a string making jig, arrow fletching jig and a bow press.

TROPHY PREPARATION

Our guides ensure all game is properly skinned and prepared for your taxidermist. In '01 we employed two full-time taxidermist. They provide a valuable service for those clients wishing to have their trophy prepared locally. We provide their information and reference list to all clients.

FISHING

Excellent fishing is available a short distance from camp. Rainbow Trout can be caught in May. Flowing waters open June 1 giving our tagged out hunters the opportunity to fish for Northern Pike as well.

FAMILY

Over the years we've had many hunters bring their wives or a family member with them. All enjoyed every minute of their time here in game rich Alberta & many are on our reference list. We encourage hunters to bring a guest with them. After all, this is an experience of a lifetime. The cost of having a family member along is only $25/day.

ERIC'S RECOMMENDED GEAR

One of the most frequently asked questions I get from clients is, "what type of clothing should I bring?" My response is to come prepared for all types of weather conditions. I highly recommend King of the Mountain wool clothing. For our bear hunters I'd suggest the omnilite series and for our fall hunters either the omnilite series if you're planning an early trip or the omnitherm series for our later season Moose or Whitetail hunters.  By ordering over the web, you receive free shipping! Just click on the recommended clothing icon to view their entire clothing line. Your going after a trophy of a lifetime, don't buy cheap clothing and expect to be quiet, warm and dry. Remember, if your not comfortable due to inadequate clothing, not only do you limit your chances to bring home the trophy your after, you also run the risk of serious health concerns like hypothermia. My advice has always been come prepared with quality gear and you can be assured of an enjoyable outdoor experience.
